Privacy & Visitor Analytics
EricSGreene.com uses private, first-party visitor analytics to understand website use, maintain security, and preserve an operational record. The information is stored on the website’s own VPS and is not used for advertising.
The service records the visitor’s IP address, page visited, time, referring page when supplied by the browser, browser and operating system, device class, IPv4 or IPv6 use, and suspected bot activity. Screen size, language, and browser time zone may also be recorded.
An IP address may be associated with an approximate country, state or region, city, latitude, longitude, network organization, and ASN. This is not GPS data and must not be interpreted as an exact device, household, residence, or street location.
The information is used to measure page activity, distinguish likely human and automated traffic, troubleshoot performance, detect abuse, protect the website, and maintain a private administrative visit ledger.
Full IP, approximate geolocation, and visit records are retained for 90 days. Aggregated statistics and pseudonymous daily visitor identifiers are retained for 12 months. Security-flagged activity remains until reviewed and cleared by the administrator.
Visitor analytics are not sold, rented, or disclosed to advertising networks. The website does not use Google Analytics, advertising identifiers, or public-site tracking cookies for this system.
Written privacy requests may be sent to eric@ericsgreene.com. A request should identify the relevant IP address, approximate date range, and pages so the corresponding record can be located without collecting additional information.
